this weekend I hand over the Keys. I was made an offer by a used dealership (owned by a big name company) $24k and done. I pay off the loan and I have a down payment for the new 2 car garage with attached house. It amost seems useless now. I two car garage with 1 car and a huge hole in my heart. I’ll miss you WRX.
This was day one
top of Mt Washington during Climb to the Clouds.

RIP Subie.
You’re not allowed to change your name, though.

That is sad. Hopefully it won’t be too long before you can fill that hole in the garage. Being a responsible adult really sucks sometimes.

well I have 5 tests left for my Architecture licences so maybe 6 months until I could potentially get my bonus for getting it

I got an email from the person who bought my ‘05 Saabaru that I sold him in 2007. He’d just turned over 300k miles on a fresh drivetrain. Swapped in a 2.5 + box from a crashed STI. Just wrote to tell me it was still his favorite car ever, and he owned a Hemi ‘Cuda.
I might’ve cried a single tear.

Sometimes doing the right thing sucks cubic balls dick; if it were easy, everyone would do it. Maybe you can let the house appreciate for a few years, then take out an equity loan and buy another? (because the smart money always borrows against an appreciating asset in order to buy a depreciating asset. It’s just science.)

Sweet! OK, then, it’s a good trade off.
Good on you for the Arch gig. When I was way young, I wanted to be an Architect, but I think that had more to do with watching The Brady Bunch. Of course, I have the artistic ability of a dead trout with no hands, so that helped squash that.

You’re a homeowner now and you have a full-time work rig. Do what I did: buy a pickup! How do people own a property without one, I often wonder. Fills the space in the garage and is on call in a pinch. Just remember to have a white lie prepared when acquaintences ask to borrow it to move a couch.
